Most Managers have a large collection of ‘performance indicators’ to manage and targets to achieve. However, the reality of many organisations is that most are not ‘key’ performance indicators and targets often aren’t aligned to them, or are not realistic. With this backdrop, it’s not surprising we rarely achieve our full potential.

What are Management System Reviews?

Efficient Management is fuelled by an efficient flow of the right information
  • Critical reviews of the ‘as-is’ management systems, relative to their associated business processes, identifying systemic and specific causes of inadequate performance
  • Actions are agreed to repair or upgrade
  • We tailor each Management System Review to suit the specific issues facing your business
  • Management System Reviews are typically completed with you, or your team
  • They typically take one to three weeks to complete, depending on the complexity of the management systems / processes being analysed

Why we get results

  • We review the key processes (see Process Reviews) to understand what’s important for the process and the business.  We compare this with the process reporting and management structures to identify inefficiencies and mismatches
  • We have substantial experience conducting Management System Reviews in all environments (transactional, process and discrete manufacturing)
  • We use a wide variety of tools and techniques to gain deep understanding of what works, as well as its flaws and inefficiencies.  However, the primary focus is understanding what happens, what doesn’t happen, the logic behind the processes and the interfaces with the management systems.
  • Your people are a key part of the Management System Review.  We engage with them as much as possible to ensure ownership of the review and results.  This ensures that your people not only believe in the results, but are also committed to any resulting change programmes

Staff Development

  • We believe in passing on our skills and knowledge to you and your team, providing opportunities for personal growth
  • Development of staff to be capable of performing Management System Reviews is often simultaneous with the review
  • We also offer formal classroom training, skills assessments and coaching where required.  Please contact us to discuss your requirements

Training

  • We also offer bespoke training courses and coaching in Process Reviews, and ‘off-the-shelf’ courses in business analysis and Supplier Diagnostic Visits, which include process review methods
  • Courses can be tailored to suit: business needs and expectations, business process maturity, needs of the audience, support structure, etc
  • Please contact us to discuss your requirements
